O QuickGPS Lite pode diminuir o tempo dos programas de GPS, lendo os dados das localizações dos GPS da Internet, via GPRS, sincronismo, etc.
Como se sabe quando um programa precisa de usar o GPS ele irá verificar os dados de localização dos mesmos, como órbita e frequência, e isso pode levar algum tempo. Se os dados já estiverem no aparelho, a primeira localização do GPS será muito mais rápida, já que cada informação não precisará ser obtida de cada satélite que está sendo usado para determinar a localização.
Os aparelhos da HTC já vem com um programa chamado QuickGPS para esse fim, mas o QuickGPS Lite tem mais recursos e servirá para aparelhos de outras marcas também.
Observe apenas que cada fabricante pode armazenar o arquivo de dados do GPS em uma pasta diferente e por isso o programa tem como salvar em diferentes localizações. O padrão é a pasta Windows.
Outro detalhe é que estão disponíveis vários servidores para se baixar os dados, mas o primeiro é que é o indicado, principalmente por ter dados de todo o mundo, e não de algumas regiões apenas.
O download do arquivo de dados deve ser efetuado a cada 6 dias e 23 horas no máximo, para que fique atualizado.
Note que o programa apenas irá ler os dados sobre os satélites, que serão depois usados por programas de GPS que você já possui instalado.
